John’s work in Cinematography has earned him 10 Sports Emmys and an additional 30 nominations, plus 2 Telly Awards, 2 Webby Awards, and 2 Anthem Awards. He recently wrapped production on an HBO feature length documentary and lensed Amazon’s three part docu-series, “Good Rivals.” As a DP, Director, and Producer, John has contributed to numerous projects for HBO, Netflix, Amazon, CBS, NBC, Turner, Showtime, Disney, and ESPN.
With 20+ years of production experience and executive roles at publicly traded companies Brian founded successful ventures serving clients like HBO, CBS, FX, and Universal Sports. As a director and producer, he spearheads world-renowned projects and impactful marketing campaigns.
With more than 15 years of experience as a Showrunner and Executive Producer, Josh brings a 360° production perspective to his role at General Assembly. He has led large-scale television productions for Netflix, ABC, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, and Warner Bros. Discovery, as well as branded campaigns for clients such as Meta, Google, Amazon Autos, and Amazon Web Services. From concept through production and final delivery, Josh combines creative development, talent management, and production logistics to bring ambitious projects to life on time and on budget. He knows how to assemble the right team for every production and how to align networks, brands, agencies, talent, and production teams around a shared creative vision.
With 15+ years of experience across many categories of Film and TV production, Nick brings his expertise to every project mixing familiar and emerging methods to push projects to the next level.
Timothy Preston is an Emmy-nominated sound editor and re-recording mixer with over 10 years of experience in post-sound. With a keen ear for mixing and a deep passion for technology and sound, Timothy is constantly exploring new ways to innovate in audio post-production. Throughout his career, Timothy has worked on a diverse range of projects - including Wild Wild Country, Swiss Army Man, Mystery Science Theater 3000; and Netflix foreign dubbing projects such as The Last Dance, The Witcher, The Irishman, and Money Heist. Additionally, He has worked on unscripted content for Discovery+ and MTV. His commitment to producing exceptional work, and his attention to detail allow him to bring his clients' stories to life through expertly crafted audio.
Marc is a Feature Film and Television Colorist with certification in Dolby Vision. He has worked on a variety of projects for clients such as the History Channel, AE, Lifetime, Cartoon Network, FOX Sports, Zimbalist brothers and Wild West Entertainment. He brings any form of content to life with his expertise and creative insights.
With over 30 years in film, television, and animation, Steven brings both creative insight and strong operational expertise to General Assembly. Trained in Rob Reiner’s cutting room on classics like The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally…, and A Few Good Men, he later contributed to series including FX’s Justified, SyFy’s The Magicians, and Apple’s Sugar. A member of American Cinema Editors, Steven is known for modernizing workflows, managing complex assets, and collaborating across departments. He remains dedicated to mentorship and fostering efficient, story-focused post-production environments.
